In watching the Bengal's season of Hard Knocks on HBO I will be curious to see how our beloved cast of characters act in front of the rolling cameras. What version of reality will we see? Will it be a season of "Jackass"? a season of "Jon & Kate Plus Eight"? Or a season of "Survivor"? What might we see that none of us thought we would ever witness in regards to the Bengals. Are there benefits to filming our team through training camp? Which of these three comparisons do you think will emerge?
In James Walker's latest mailbag, the following question was asked ... Nick from Cincinnati, Ohio, writes: With the Bengals drafting inside linebacker Rey Maualuga, will he sit behind starter Dhani Jones or be moved to left outside linebacker so he can start? ... Now I got to thinking -- whether you go to Cincy Jungle or not -- shouldn't you have at least a working knowledge of how the team plans on using Maualuga? Here are some of my biggest pet peeves! Feel free to add your own! ... My biggest pet would be HInes Ward, I don't understand how this guy gets so open all the time. If it is 3rd down and less than 5 yards to go, u know its going to him. I know he may be the most physical WR in the nfl today but I would really enjoy someone laying him out (hint hint) and breaking his jaw (hint hint), so he can not have that stupid smile on his face for a couple of months. Matter of fact ... the whole team is
The Bengals elected to try something new. Marvin Lewis conducted Olympic-like competitions to bring the team some fun, as well as another way to get some work in ... "Great offseason, great plan," said quarterback Carson Palmer, after sharpening his elbow with a couple of touchdown lasers in the morning practice at Paul Brown Stadium. "This is as good as shape as we've been in since I've been here." ... Before the start of mandatory camp, Geoff Hobson writes, the team's strength coach, Chip
Alright, so some fans/sites aren't drinking the Kool-Aid. That's fine. It's hard to imagine that a transformation from failure to a system of success could happen overnight, or through an offseason. Carson Palmer is coming back (again) and there's no telling if he'll be able to sustain the success he had earlier in his career. Bob Bratkowski is changing the playbook. Marvin Lewis is changing his demeanor. The offensive line has gone through personnel changes, so there's an "incomplete" score in
... Last and expected to finish there in the AFC North are the Cleveland Browns: ... ALL INFO IS PROVIDED BY WALTERFOOTBALL.COM: ... Season Summary: ... Right now, it's almost hard to believe that the Browns would have made the playoffs a year ago if Tony Dungy hadn't foolishly benched his starters against the Titans. As a consolation prize, Cleveland fans were able to smile when a flat Indianapolis squad consequently bombed in the postseason as huge favorites against the Chargers.
Up next is the Baltimore Ravens, ... ALL INFO IS PROVIDED BY WALTERFOOTBALL.COM: ... Season Summary: ... One sensational rookie quarterback is unheard of, but two in the same season? Joe Flacco didn't post the numbers that Matt Ryan compiled, but perhaps his run was more impressive, given that he took his team deeper into the playoffs and he had less to work with than the Falcon signal-caller. While Baltimore has finally found its quarterback, the team will have to hunt for a new defensive core
I know some of you guys are probably wondering why I am asking Bengals fans to vote on how many wins they believe that a division rival win. My reason for making this poll is because there have been plenty of post voting on how many wins we will have but I am trying to predict the AFC North Standings for 09-10 season. So I'm going to post all of the division rivals schedules and you guys can vote on how many wins they will realistically get this season and then i will post the
